Changelog

What shipped, and when

Meridian ships to production many times a day. These are the changes worth writing down.

  1. v2.14

    Feature

    Metric-aware approvals

Approvals can now wait on guardrails. A reviewer can approve a promotion in advance, and it only goes ahead once every metric has been green for the hold period.

    • Approve from the pull request with /meridian approve after-green
    • Approvals expire after 24 hours by default, configurable per environment
    • Audit log entries now show which metrics were green at promotion time
  2. v2.13

    Improvement

    Faster rollbacks on Kubernetes

The agent now keeps the previous ReplicaSet warm during a rollout, cutting median rollback time from 63 seconds to 41.

    • Warm standby is on by default for new services
    • New rollback.warmStandby setting to opt out for memory-heavy workloads
    • Fixed a race where a paused rollout could resume after an agent restart
  3. v2.12

    Feature

    Stale flag pull requests

Flags that have been at 100% for 30 days get a pull request that removes the dead branch, with the flag owner requested as reviewer.

    • Supports TypeScript, Go, Python and Ruby codebases
    • Per-flag snooze for flags you intend to keep as kill switches
    • Weekly digest of stale flags by owner
  4. v2.11

    Fix

    Guardrail minimum sample size

Guardrails now wait for a minimum number of requests before evaluating, so tiny canary stages stop rolling back on noise.

    • Default minimum of 200 requests per guardrail
    • Shown in the release console as a progress ring until reached
